I was thinking it was more of a good thing. I would rather take my chances with the thyroid, hoping on the off chance it would reduce my risk of cancer. Hers a link, it is very interesting. I haven't heard of anything like this. Think about it this way. Would you rather be in a state of hypothyroidism (and suffer the effects) and hope to be cancer free or get well and take your chances with breast cancer (there are ways to check for cancer before it gets bad)?
For the most part, breast cancer is the result of genetics and the environment. It's more of a Russian Roulette in many other cases--either you do get it or you get lucky.
I have never read anything pertaining to hypothyroidism reducing the risk of breast cancer.
