Hypo now Hyper? Not!!

I had a week of feeling pretty okay after moving up from 75 mcg to 100 mcg of Synthroid. Then my hair started falling out by the handfuls, now I'm exhausted all the time, weepy, and my left eye keeps twitching!! The doctor ordered another TSH lab (only TSH, nothing else) which I find out today was .038, which she thinks is low. How can this be? I don't feel "hyper" about anything!! She's dropping me down to 88 mcg. I will give it a shot, but I associate "Hyper" with being hyper, and I'm anything but! Has anyone else experienced this?

I drink caffeine like crazy.  I know it's not good for me, but it is the only way I keep putting one foot in front of the other most days.  Mine is no longer from thyroid, don't have one and all levels are normal, mine is now from adrenals.

Not recommending it just letting you know how I manage.

I use to drink coffee and coke to keep me going before I was diagnosed. I've always had insomnia and I think caffeine made me more anxious than I would have been. Now I only drink coffee occasionally, like once a month. Hang in there!

Thank you folks. I've got a new condition and a new doctor, so comforting to hear that the doctor seems to know her stuff.

Truth or Dare: do you guys drink coffee to keep going, even though everything says not to? I don't know what else to do. I can't take 6 months off from my life until I get my dosage titrated!

Totally agree with skymax.  There was ABSOLUTELY nothing hyper about me being hyperthyroid!  It was a lot more exhausting than being hypo.  All the symptoms you listed are hyper symptoms.

Hyperthyroid does not mean hyper energy, unfortunately. Instead of your thyroid not putting out enough hormones, it's putting out too much. Hair falling out, exhaustion, emotional instability, and eye discomfort could be hyperthyroidism -- atleast they were for me.
