I recently had blood work done and my TSH came back at 3.288, T4 1.07, T3 Uptake 27, T3 141, and my Thyroid Peroxidase was at 321. I have been going through the following symptoms: anxiety attacks, tiredness, loss of concentration, hair loss, extended sleeping periods, and low energy drive. The Doctor suggested that even though my antibodies were a little high it wasn't enough to cause my symptoms. I have to go back every 6 months for thryoid checkups because the antibodies could trigger an thyroid problem in the future. My question is should I go to an endo doctor or take her word and take the lexapro she subscribed me?
That's the antibodies. Which means you probably have hashimotos. I am sure that is why there testing you. How you feeling on that dose? Make sure you keep track of your symptoms.
Thanks for getting back to me, yea I got put on synthroid 75mg. But that was before I got the peroxidase and antithroglobin results. By any chance do you know what they mean and why they could be that high. I go to the doctor Friday but im freaked out by how high they are
You are definatley hypo. with posssibility of hashimotos or another autoimmune disorder. Did they start you on medicine yet? Welcome to the board!
