Hypothyroid + LID = Neck Pain ?

I was placed on LID a week ago and will have a scan/uptake the end of next week after the Docs found that my thyroiud levels were low.  Today the lump in my neck/thyroid became sore to the touch - not quite painful, but definitely not something I've felt before.  Is this normal based on the lack of iodine in my diet?
