Hypothyroid & Vascular Malformations

Can hypothyroidism be related to a vascular malformation in the area of the Thyroid? I have a history of vascular malformations and am now awaiting a Thyroid Uptake test/scan to determine the cause of my low thyroid hormome levels.

A vascular malformation in the area of the thyroid is called an 'Arterio-venous malformation (AVM)' and is basically known as Wyburn-Mason syndrome in some cases.
Why do you believe you have this in the thyroid area?
It is very rare indeed and I would be surprised if you had this.
Let us know how your scan goes as it will show up on an RAIU.
