Hypothyroid

I am 33 years old and I would like to know if people under 50 can have this condition.  Can hypothyroid conditions come and go over the years while others remain or do they all have to appear all at once?  I have had cold hands and feet but I don't have that problem, but I still have fatigue and I am trying to lose weight.

Levels can change all the time.  From time to time when my meds are low I get a different set of symptoms.  The cold hands and feet might have gone away since it's warmer.  I have had that symptom before but not all the time.

Your best bet is to call your doctor, give your symptoms and ask to have a blood test done.  He/she should have no problem with doing this.  Totally worth it if it is hypothyroidism!  I have been on Synthroid since I was 2 weeks old.

Good luck!

Hi .. welcome to the community.  Anybody at any age can have a hypo condition.  I'm not sure on the other part of the question but sure others will jump on in on the thread who have more experience.
