Hypothyroid and Vitamin D

I have hyprothyroid and low vitamin D and I take levothyroxine 100mg, vitamin d 50,000 icu, and he still told me to continue the oscal and I have gained 30 pounds in the last 3yrs and my stomach is bloated one day and gone the next. I am always extremely tired, I have to force myself out of bed every morning. Is there anything my doctor maybe missing. My hands swell and look puffy sometimes, but I do not have high blood pressure. Actually, before I started taking the tyroid medicine my blood pressure was on the low side. Hyperthyroid runs heavy in my family, but I am the only one with Hypo. This is having a severe effect of my children and job. Is there anything else I might need to be tested for?????

Hi, what is your vit d level on the 50,000 iu's?  Mine came up to 32 (from 9) with 4 weeks 100,000 iu's and now on 50,000 iu's maintenance

I am tired, too, but I just started my Synthroid. I am awaiting Hashi antibodies tests. Have you taken those to rule out Hashis?

What about your other vitamins? I've read that hypos have difficulty maintaining vitamin levels. Are you on supplements? Here's a vitamin supplement chart for hypo, but you can Google it and probably find more charts.

If you have not been tested for the actual, active thyroid hormones, FT3 and FT4, then that would be a good idea.  In the interim, please post whatever thyroid test results and reference ranges that you do have, so that members can evaluate.
