Soy, walnuts and calcium all affect the absorption of your thyroid med. You should take/eat them at least 4 hours apart, as well as certain other medications. Broccoli and other foods are considered "goiterous (sp?)" and should only be eaten cooked and modestly. If you google foods to avoid with hypothyroidism, you'll get plenty of informative hits. Also, if you go to your med's website, usually it says something in there somewhere, although you'll probably have to go to the site map to find it.
