I just found out I have a rare hypothyroidism (low TSHPituitary and tsh Tsh and low T4T4 test counts). I am now 9 months pregnant and this was just discovered. My endocrinologist said my levels weren't enough to worry about the baby's health/mental issues...but everything I have read said that if the mother was not treated in the early part of pregnancy the baby could have mentalMental retardation Mental status tests issues later in life. I am worried sick over this. Does anyone have any experience with this?
Hi, I didn't have any symptoms like yours when I was pregnant. Just want to let you know that, you're already 9 mos. only few more weeks to go. Please relax, what ever happened earlier, you didn't know, it was not your intention to let it untreated. Until now, if you're fine I think your baby will be fine. Don't worry too much. At this time please think positive and don't stress yourself too much your baby will suffer inside! Take care. Keep us posted.
