Is TSH the only test that was done?  Diagnosing a thyroid problem, based solely on TSH is usually a recipe for disaster.  You need to also have Free T3 and Free T4.  Did your doctor do antibody tests to make sure you don't have Hashimoto's?

Your thyroid is what's keeping you from losing weight, because the thyroid controls metabolism; when your thyroid isn't working right, neither is the rest of your body.

It does take approximately 5-6 weeks for the medication to reach its full potential; however, you may still need periodic adjustments to keep your levels where you need them.

You can eat any type of fruit you like, however, some contain much more sugar than others.  You might want to stick mostly with apples, pears, peaches, etc.
