I can't stop feeling icky

by stella5349, Jan 20, 2008 06:56PM
It's been over 5 years since RAI for hyper T. I think I finally got the med OK to help balance my T4 into T3 now that I am hypo. Please does anyone know why I suffer everyday from acid and fluid building up in me?Everyday I am exhausted either being I am in sheer pain from acid reflux or my PH is balanced and I bloat so bad I look PG. I can not find a thing on the net to help me sort this out. and I do not have success getting through to my doc. I know the thyroid controls every cell in the body but, how can I make my body take this acid away. I am on Zantac 150 3-4 x's day and antacids are not good for thyroid meds. Exhausted :(

What does your doc (endocrinologist) say?  There are Rx meds to help this kind of problem.  I'm really educated on what these meds would do to the thyroid meds.  That would be something to ask the doc.  Hope this gets better.  There may be someone on this site that can help.  Don't give up.  There are lots of knowledgable and wonderful people on here.  Prayers.  Jessi

I really thought I was learning more too. My doc kinda dismiss the acid thing. I said to stay on the Zantac until my next visit. I do not see an endo. I tried that 3 times since the hyper and I recieved such horrible care. I am scared I will never feel normal again. The anxiety in the morning too to un livable

Dr. Lupo finnally answered my question about the progesterone.  He said it is th estrogen that bothers the thyroid.  He said the follow the thyroid after starting the treatment to make sure there will be not need for a change in meds.  Read his answer.

As to you acid reflux,  I would suggust getting the Celiac test to see if that is what is your problem.  I am so much better since I stopped eating gluton and all the other foods I seem to be allergic to.  I am going to retested later down the road to see if I am really allergic to them.  I tested during the height of my thyroid disfunctioning.     Linda
