I feel like I'm going insane?? pls help?

I'm glad I found this site. :-)
I need alot of answers because I feel like I will never be normal again.
I feel so dead inside..until I can't explain.
I'm 23 about to be 24 and found out I had low thyroid..no hashi's my labs for antibodies are within normal range.
This is what I've been dealing with for a year and a half.

I was diagnosed with depression as a teen ( don't know if it was thyroid related or not??)

I've been having joint pain
feeling tired all the time, no matter how much I sleep (extreme fatigue)
hoarse voice all the time
can't get a good night sleep
bags under my eyes
dry skin and hair
hair falling out
I have alot of physical symptoms but what scares me the most is the mental ones.

I started getting anxiety (never had before)
crazy thoughts
obsess thoughts
weird phobias
can't remember
severe brain fog
can't focus
scared to be alone
easily angered
mood swings
sometimes feeling as my mind is empty (like in a coma)
and I just feel dead, like a dead person walking.
I think about death alot
and I went to doctor after doctor, they try to prescribe me Antidepressants and none of this started happening until I until I got diagnosed. My world has been upside down. I feel so slow mentally.
and its painful. I don't feel like me and I want to so bad. Do you think its my thyroid? or do I need antidepressants? any advice would be helpful, if you've gone through this anything would help greatly...

Yes, those are symptoms....... A lot of doctors tend to downplay symptoms and will insist that they aren't thyroid related, when they really are. Your labs will tell us a lot.

Your symptoms indicate hypothyroidism.  You doctor is required, by law, to provide you with a copy of your labs, upon request.  We can't really help you, until we know which labs were done, along with the results and reference ranges.

Why don't doctors think its not related? and did it go away completely?

A thyroid imbalance can alter other hormone levels which could explain why it's taking longer than normal to bounce back.  Hang in there.

What do they consider normal?

I can speak to the mental symptoms.  When my thyroid is under performing, the only symptoms I get are mental.  Severe, depression, obsession, and jealousy.  I feel like I'm losing my mind, and I'm about the most stable person my friends know, when healthy.  I had this 3 years ago and made a full recovery with synthroid only.  I'm going through it for the 2nd time now and hoping to again make a full recovery, however it is much more stubborn this time.  I haven't had a full bag of marbles since july, but I feel way better than I did 6 weeks ago.  I would say my mind is about 75% healthy now.  The progress is so SLOW that I don't ever notice a change from day to day, but I know things are better than they were weeks and months ago.  Good luck!

Just because your thyroid test results are within the so-called "normal" range does not mean they are adequate for YOU.  The ranges are too broad for that to be true.

To start, please post your thyroid related test results and reference ranges shown on the lab report.  Also, have you been tested for Vitamin D, B12, ferritin, and a full iron test panel?  If so, please post those and their ranges as well.
