I take my meds every day, and it does not seem to work. I feel like I did when I was untreated, swollenSwollen glands, muscle aches, stiffness,. recently blurry vision....... any advice for me

Did your doctor run any other tests besides TSH and antibodies? If so, please post all the test results and reference ranges, so that members can provide you with the best response.
yes, she ran vitamin d and t3 and t4 and another lab that I believe checks for other antibodies. I think that the last TSH was 2.68 and RBC's were a little low, otherwise everything wnl. The antibody test was done about 8 months ago. I have noticed the symptoms worsen only recently, I seemed to be feeling better and then alot of the symptoms reappeared, except for hair loss. that is improved.
The reference ranges are far too broad just to accept anything within as "normal". Please post the actual numbers and ref. ranges so that members can provide the best response.
I have Hasi's too. The more i read about it and research this, the more i see about the antibodies going up and down..or being actively attacking the thyroid at times, then calming down..i don't know if this theory has anything to do with our tests, but i'm wondering if it effects how we feel. I've been on Levo for 3 years.and always having to raise my dosage. The tsh you just posted is too high..what are the free's? I still have to find out what my ft3 is, as that has never been checked..
hi thanks. so nice to talk to people who can understand. The dr never has said that I have hashimoto's, when I asked what the elevated antibodies meant she just said that I would be more difficult to control. You are right about the antibodies though. I am at 112mcg of synthroid and I feel like it needs to be increased again. My t4 free was 1.2 and looks like all that was tested. I just went to my primary again last week to have it checked. Just haven't been feeling right. Thanks for the advice!
If you have antibodies, and you're hypo.you have hashimoto's...i can't understand why our Dr.'s don't take the time to help us understand these things, it's not that complicated to tell patients what it is.are they stupid or just don't care?
TSH 3.63 4--4.50
thyroid peroxidase antibodies 16 <35
