I want to be better

Hi guys, sorry to hear others are having a rough time at the moment, I just cant stand this anymore.

I am having glimpses of feeling like me again buth they are always short lived:( I still have a golf ball sized lump swelling behind my scar, its still sore but they tell me to give it 6 weeks and the more I do the more swelling I have/ I have been back and forth at work, I do a full day and I off the next day, its frustrating.  Still no effort by the end of the day to cook tea if I have done the other things,  I just want to see light at the end of the tunnel.......

Sorry maybe I just needed to vent

I am *so* sorry!!!  Hang in there.  Try ice packs on the incision - they have really helped me with other surgeries.

I feel your pain...I'm just at the 2 week mark of a TT and one day I will feel fine, and the next, like today, I feel like ****.  This has been going on since the surgery and I guess from what the endo & ENT's offices are saying is that nothing can be done because it takes 6 weeks for the synthroid to kick in...oh, it's going to be a long 6 weeks...I am scheduled to go back to work next week, but I don't know how I'm going to feel until I wake up that morning!  Listen to your body and rest when you can...I figure things will be better by summer for all of us!  Take it one day at a time...I want to feel better too...

Yes, it is AWFUL .. they limit the am't of new threads and shut off the service .. makes it feel so much less personal with the postings as we cannot readily start new threads to keep in touch!!! UGH!!!

Sorry Nimrod to barge in on your thread :0

Ahwwww I am sorry you are not having a good time of it kiddo...You and I were pretty beat up and I know it takes us extra time to get back to level ground. I am slated to go back to work on the 15th and am scared s-itless of hurting myself or a patient etc. I wish we all had a magic apple we could eat and be healed and restored...but reality always gives us another kind of sandwich to bit....Keep the faith rest when you can and it will eventually get there!!!! (I hope)

Best of everything tomorrow!!!  Please post and let us know ASAP when you are home (even if you have to hijack someone else's thread).   Hugs!!!!!

(Remember the calcium problems and the warning signs)

P.S. - I emailed MedHelp to ask to open up the forum again.  Maybe if we ALL do the same . . . :-)

Hi Nimrod
Nimrod as in the theatre???  Thought you'd be Aussie with that nickname.

Hang in there!!!   I'm 5 months post TT and just starting to feel things are improving!!! Chest pressure from clothing gone - still have sore throat but not as bad - boy that helps.  Until now have used up all energy at work, but am now becoming more social and pulling my weight more at home!!!   Thank God says everyone!!  GP says levels are now good, but I've still got mad itching, tingling feet at night + a couple of other symptoms that I think are still hypo - will hang in 4 a bit before retesting.

I'm encouraged enough to know it will get better - I don't know your age - I'm 58, so guess getting older slows the healing!!

You will be okay!!
Cheers

So sorry to hear you are feeling out of sorts still ... I can just imagine being back @ work and not feeling nearly yourself and that golf sized lump there as a constant reminder ev. min of ev. day ... I'd like to send you some :::::: e-hugs ::::: .. you went thur a very very rough surgery .. I was surprised you were able to get back to work when you mentioned you were working in one of your prior postings.

I know what you mean about the swelling at the end of the day.

VENT here ANYTIME you want ok????
