Indoor tanning and Hypothyroidism

I started indoor tanning this week.  I also have hypothyroidism.  Is there any health concerns I should be aware of?

Amen to that! I can't believe I used to do that to myself when I was younger!! Yikes. My chest is covered in sun damage! Now I slather sun screen on my kids before they even step foot out to play.

We have had a very big campaign in Australia to try to ban indoor tanning. A girl died from a melanoma caused by indoor tanning. Many of the salons have closed do to not knowing the ramifications of it. If you go to a salon make sure they know the rules and regulations on how long etc you should be doing it. Quite honestly it is a dangerous thing as the UV rays are up to 100% stronger than the outdoor sun. So do take care!!! This is regardless of any thyroid or other problem!

Here is thread you should read. I do know that I am sensitive to the sun... and when I USED to tan in a bed I would itch like horrible. I never really tanned either.
