Irerregular Heartbeat

I have been on levothyroxine since Feb of this year for hypothyroidism and have just noticed I have irregular heartbeat. I was wondering if the medicine is causing this and if so is there something else I could take.

hi, I see that its been a while since you've posted, hopefully you will get this. I am 26 and was dx with hypothyroidism in Sept. 07; I began taking levothyroxine and I have had a irregular heart beat since. The thyroid gland; among many other things; regulates the heart beat; I am convinced that my hypo thyroid has or is causing my weird irregular beats. I used to let them scare me but I've just gotten use to it and try to keep busy and enjoy life; instead of dwelling on it as I did before.
