Is bloody mucous normal?

I have a hyperthyroid and have been taking inderal for about a week so far. But for about a month or so i have been feeling like there is something stuck in my throat so i try to cough it up and everytime there is a real thick mucous sometimes with blood in it. And i have been getting dry bloody discharge from my nose.  Can anyone explain this to me or is it even normal?  Sorry if its TMI but i'm just a little concerned and i dont have any other symptoms of a cold or anything so i was thinking that it could be related to my thyroid??   thanks michelle

thanks, this started before i started the inderal though. It started about a month ago and i've only been on the med. for a week

Potential side effects of inderal:

Check with your doctor right away if any of the following side effects  occur:

breathing difficulty and/or wheezing
cold hands and feet
depression
shortness of breath
slow heartbeat
swelling of ankles, feet, and/or lower legs
back pain or joint pain
chest pain; confusion
unusual bleeding and bruising
