I am about to go to a privte doctor to see if I can get the prescription. I still no matter what have all the bad symptoms that synthroid is suppose to stop. Is it worth the change?

Are you on tricare? If you are you can get a referral to an endocrinlogist that specializes in thyroids and try to get the armour.

What is your TSH level? What are your FT3 and FT4 levels. Need to make sure these are optimal.
Some people benefit from armor and some don't. However if you have symptoms and can give armor a try, no reason why not - to see if helps. So yes, push for it.
