Is there a relationship between prednisone and thyroid

Hello, My 15 y.o. daughter was diagnosed with Crohn's disease in April and has been on prednisone ever since. It's been a long 7 months of trying to help her get stable. Finally with the help of a homeopathic doc she is not bleeding and is beginning to heal. However, he discovered a nodule on her thyroid. When tested her tsh is high and t4 is low. She has lost 6 pounds in 4 weeks yet has no other symptoms. Does anyone know if there is a relationship between prednisone and thyroid? She tested negative for thyroid antibodies which is what the drs. first thought.

Any input would be welcome.
