Itching all over the body

Recently I have been diagnosed with chronic thyroiditis and B12 deficiency.  I have been suffering for about one and half year with the following symptoms: fatigue, palpitation, itching all over the body. However, my symptoms have been undiagnosed until recently.  The doctor has put me on Synthroid treatment. However, there has been no relief to my itching problem. Is the itching problem is related to thyroid.

I didn't have this but according to a book I have it says it's one of the more common symptoms.  Usually coming on as a result of dry skin - an even more common symptom.

Hopefully the med will eventually help.  It takes a while for it to penetrate.  If you don't get relief let your dr know.  He should have some suggestions for you.

Actually, I had itching but after starting the med.  I had to change brands as a result of new insurance coverage but inadvertently it was better because the itching subsided.
