My TSH level is supressed, Anti-TPO Ab is 615( <35 is the norm ), freeT4 is 4( 1.4-3.8 ), TSI is normal. I don't have any clinical of Graves Des. Should I take Tapazol, I am very scared of side effects.
Thank you. Emma
Dear Lilian, I too want someone to talk to about Graves Remission. I believe it is happening and I am stopping my last 2.5 (1/4 a pill) methimazole now because it is making me so tired and drowsy. I want to know how you knew to stop your meds. Was it because they made you feel too drowsy and you just knew? Stephanie Soos, San Diego, CA
Do you happen to remember how much Tapazole you were taking per day?
When was the last time you had your thyroid antibodies checked, and what were the numbers?
I know those questions may be hard to answer, but I'm trying to get a picture of the severity of your Grave's in the past.
Unless your antibodies are really low and stay there, sooner or later your thyroid will go wonky again.
Hopefully in about 50 years. :)
Do you get your levels checked from time to time?
