Hi Erica,
thanks for the reply and the invite too - yes i'll read your journals too.
for some reason i stopped taking my beta blocker i don't know why - i just forgot to take this - now feeling all the hyper symptoms again so i guess i need to take the propranalol again (beta blocker). my endo here adviced me to take PTU again after 3 days and to do blood test after three wekks. he prescribed steroids for the eyes and told me to take it at the first sign of eye iritation.
I had (30mCi) RAI 5 weeks ago. I was freaked out at first, but it has been pretty good so far. I drank a ton of water and sucked on sour candies for the first week. You will want to stay away from your husband for awhile too. I still have not gone Hypo or started thyroid medicine. I am still taking a beta blocker to slow down my heart which will still will get up to 130bpm resting. I also have Thyroid eye disease and have been taking prednisone for 6 weeks now. Being on the prednisone has been far worse than the RAI. Good luck and feel free to check out my journal.
Itchy creey crawling feeling all day like I wanna rip my skin off!
Anyway....got the antihistimines, got the apple cider vinegar for the bath...HAD NO MILK,,,,,calamine lotion stinks through the house, I look like a white smurf )or rather a pink one lol) and it seems to be easing up for the time being although as one big welt goes down...3 more appear!
I'll see how I sleep tonight...if no better tomorrow then back to the Docs as the welts are pretty severe.
One good thing came out of it...no viral infection.
I was worried that the removal of the pit. tumour may have caused infection.
All that came back clear.
oh Hives.... i'll do anything not to experience that agen - i had it one month after tapazole.
best of luck to you.
i'll start reading your jornals.
Read my journals ...I would add more but at present getting ready to go to Docs as woke up this morning head to toe in Hives lol......
Gotta get bloods done to rule out viral infection as I have a heart murmur which can be affected if viral infection is present.
Though I tend to think it may be full cream milk......havent drank it for 16 years and partner brought it home by mistake instead of light milk.
Heavy (full cream) used to give me tummy upsets so think it may be this.
But because of new job on Wednesday...gotta get the all clear from a Doc .
Read my journals as I said...you will find all what I went through with RAI.
The worst is over for you.
((((hugs)))
