Just need help and understanding

I'm worried about my husband some says it's cancer and some says its not. Please reply Does this mean it is cancer?   biopsy --rmicroscopic exam There is an adequate cellular speciman characterized by numerous groups of relatively unform appearing follicular cells.
comment the cytologic features are thse of a cellular follicular lesion. The differential diagnosis includes a hyperplastic adenomatoid(colloid) nodule and a follicular neoplasm (statistically most likely a folliculare adenoma). The likelihood of malignancy is small.final diagnosis Pattern suggestive of cellular pollicular lesion (see comment) What does this mean? thanks the uptake test said this left thyroid lobe inferior pole  cold nonfunctoning nodule but with a normal thyroid function.don't understand

I shall also defer to 898 but, from what I am reading here, it seems (only to me and I could be wrong) that they believe that this is a follicular adenoma (which is generally benign) and that the likelihood of it being cancer is low.

A lot of nodules will turn up cold on an uptake scan from what I understand.  While they worry about the cold ones possibly being malignant, it isn't necessarily so but, has to be tested (thus, your husband's biopsy and pathology report).

I hope that 898 can spread a bit more info on this for you, but that is how I am reading this at the moment.

Sending your husband and you my best wishes.
