Are you taking calcium? The muscle spasm thing could be related to low calcium.
A fever lasting 2 or more days, would warrant a call to the dr. in my opinion. They get paid to take care of you and you should call on them whenever you need.
Also, if you're achy, have you taken tylenol or anything? If so, then your fever could actually be higher than you think.
Good luck with the Dr realizing that 99.5 is a full 2 degree jump for you! This happens all the time with my dd who runs 97.6 normal ... VERY frustrating!
It most likely is a result of the inflammation .. my discharge papers said to call with anything over 101 I *think* but I WOULD CALL ANYWAY esp. in light of the rash and tight feeling. Call today and ask for an appt for a look/see .... I would do that just in case something needs tending to.
The aches can be from hypo or the fever .. or from body adjusting to all this so fast.
I'm not a Dr. so don't go by what I post .... just a tinfoil chick.

o'yeah I know to well about the fever issue....yes my papers say the same thing 101 but you know what for years they said nothing was wrong and I knew better so why should I believe them now....after all I paid them and I had all the answers along. lol just frasturated. :)
As a nurses aid and also as a person who runs a really low temp, usually about 96.2, I know that most people do not run a temp of 98.6. They teach you this in your training and in home health you have to take a temp often enough to know what is normal for that specific person. When I have a temp of 98.6 I feel awful. It is hard to convince any dr or medical personell that you are running a fever b/c of the way they have it set, but keep insisting to them that this IS very high for you specifically.
Cheryl made a good point about being on something like Tylenol for the pain and keeping your fever down. Also any kind of codene will keep it down, and certain prescription pain meds contain acetaminophin. Talk to your dr about those, too. Do call the dd and try to make them listen. If there is a nurse there that you have hit it off with ask for her/him as they are sometimes more understanding and more willing to listen to you than the dr. Sometimes they also know you better than the dr does.
Good luck am praying for you!

Call the Doctor and good luck to you. I hope you feel better soon.......
