.74 is a little low. For some people it would be fine. For some people it would be low enough to bring on Hyper symptoms.
It depends on what your body was used to five or ten years ago. We all have a slightly different natural TSH level, and if you stray from your own personal TSH number by more than a full point, you will feel effects of that change.
There is debate about whether or not high antibody counts can bring on symptoms even if your hormone levels are good. I have been sitting on the fence on that subject, because I haven't read anything definite, just speculation.
There is one thing you can do to try to lower your TPOab count. Take 200mcg (that's micrograms, and it's important) of Selenium a day. Taking Selenium MAY lower your TPOab by as much as 50%, or it may not help.
If you decide to take a selenium supplement, be aware of any vitamins you are taking and keep in mind that we get selenium in our diet naturally. 200mcg is a safe amount to take, but it is not recommended to consume more than 400mcg a day, including what you are getting from other sources.
The minimum daily requirement is 55mcg, and very few people in the U.S. are deficient, so it is safe to assume we are ingesting between 55mcg and 100mcg per day in our diet.
I'm taking 220mcg per day in my multi-vitamins, plus what I get naturally, and my TPOab has not dropped a point. But it is worth a try.
My last TSH level ws .74
I took PTU for 3 Months and stopped it 2 months ago.
You can't do anything to change the antibody levels.
What was your last TSH level?
You sound slightly Hyper. What were you taking, and when did you stop taking it?
