Labs---It has been a long

Hi there! It has been a while!  I have some labs I wanted some help with if possible.  Also...important to note that I have  been taking Armour since May....it has really made a difference in how I have felt overall.  I am currently taking 60 mg everyday + 15 mg every other day with the 60 (hope that makes sense).

Here are my labs:

TSH 2.13 (.27-4.2)
Free Thyroxine  0.95 (.80-1.70)
FT3  3.65 (1.80-4.20)

*I did not take meds before labs-----as I was instructed. I feel pretty good by the way.  Just curious about the low FT4?  Is this normal for Armour? I have stayed around this range since May.  Thoughts?  Thanks!

No naps during the day.....though I really want one (lol)!  They do mess with my sleep.  I have more trouble getting to sleep not staying asleep (even if I have to get up to go to the bathroom).  I wonder sometime too that even when we are medicated properly....if all the symptoms go away?  My endo also has hash's and says that he never feels no symptoms at all. That is really sad:( but hey I can handle the sleep as long as it is not too bad. I actually do feel better than before.

I guess we never feel the same again (before the diagnosis)?

We never were built to go non-stop from morning till night.  Getting tired after working hard is a normal part of life.  Some days, I crash after lunch, but that's getting a lot better now; I can make it through most days, without a nap, but I'm good and tired at bedtime.

If you're napping during the day, that could cause sleep issues.  If so, try getting through the day without a nap.  If you aren't napping during the day, but still can't sleep at night, there could be a thyroid relation.  It took me a long time, on thyroid med, with good levels to get to the point where I can go to sleep and sleep the night, or get up to go to the bathroom and go back to sleep again.

Great! Thanks Barb...I do feel pretty good actually better than ever. I still have some problems going to sleep at night and then some afternoon tiredness but nothing like before. It is tiredness not fatigue and I can always tell the difference.

I think these issues may not be related to my thyroid but maybe just "normal" for me.  It hink everyone gets tired at some point in the day and the sleep has always been an issue at times (my mind races).  It is hard sometimes to discern whether it is normal or related.  I question myself!  LOL

The T4 threw me for a loop but glad to know that it is not a real concern.

Hi there; it has been a long time.

Your FT's actually don't look all that bad.  Your FT3 is at 77% of it's range; rule of thumb is to be in upper 1/3 of the range, so you're right there.

As long as your FT3 is good, I don't really think the FT4 is much concern.  I've seen others on Armour, who had lower FT4.

"I feel pretty good by the way"........ what symptoms do you still have?
