Levaquin and Synthroid...

Can I take Levaquin (quinolone antibiotic) at the same time as my synthroid...pharmacist said yes, but I'm skeptical...Everything messes with synthroid...but both need to be taken with lots of water and on empty stomach...kidney infection...my third in a year.  How rude.

I would trust the pharmacist. I have had levaquin and synthroid and it has been fine.  They have website that you can search the reaction of medications with each other.  Just google it.  Good luck!

Levequin is a very powerful antibotic (antibiotic). You will most likely have some effect from it while taking your thyroid medication.

It's not good with your meds.

Is the fact that I have an autoimmune thing going on?  Is that why I am being plagued by kidney infection?  I haven't had this trouble since I was in my 20's....Also dealing with sinus infection...I just feel like one big puss ball.  I'm not really having trouble catching colds and flu from without, but it seems like I'm being plagued from within....Know what I mean?
