Levothyroxine causes throat pain after 3 days

I just started Levothyroxine treatment 50mcg once a day.
I see positive effects after just one dose.
I've taken it 3 times and then started to feel  a throat pain of my right side. The neck is tender on the right side. I was taking lots of kelp last week.
Do you think the dosage is too high? or should I stop taking kelp?
I will talk with my doctor tomorrow about this.
Thanks, I appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks for your comment. It makes sense to me. I was taking huge amounts of kelp powder last week just before I started the medication - 1/2 teaspoon +
Also, as I think about it, I was taking such large amounts before and sometimes I've had similar effects, although not so strong. I'll just stop kelp since it does not go we with the medication.

If your hypothyroidism is caused by iodine deficiency then kelp is possibly helpful. If it is autoimmune, the excess iodine will not be good for you as the problem has nothing to do with lack of iodine and excessive iodine can actually irritate the thyroid.
"Natural" does not mean safe or healthy or appropriate for everyone.
