I have been hypo for over 10 years and have done well on synthroid.  My last increase was 2 years ago to .125
6 months ago I started having episodes of rapid hearbeats and anxiety problems.  About 3 months ago I forgot to take my synthroid one day and the next I felt better then I had in the prior months.  I started playing with my dose taking half a pill etc and was feeling pretty good.
When I went to the Dr. a month ago my test showed I was hypo, I told the Dr. about how the .125 was making me feel.  She started me on Armour 1 grain 2 times a day .  After the 3 day I was having attacks of sweating, trembling, very rapid heart rate and anxiousness.  I called her and she said go on .88 synthroid.   I let my thyroid rest for 4 days before I began the new dose of synthroid.  It still causes me symptoms of hyperthyroidism.    I did the .88 dose for a few days then cut it in half.  I still feel like **** within an hour a taking any medication.  I am afraid to take any medication now.  The past 2 days my thyroid area is tender and I still feel trembly but not as bad as when I take the synthroid.  HELP

I am waiting to see an endocrinologist but she is booking into two months from now.  I told her receptionist how lousy I have been feeling, but she said maybe she could call me if they have any cancellations.

I am thinking I may have Hashi

Is it possible to just be hypo for many years and then get Hashi's?

Has anyone else had problems flucating from hypo to hyper after taking synthroid.

Any insight would be helpful.  I am so tired of feeling lousy.
