Location of refilling thyroid mass?

by ellyinmpls, Jan 28, 2009 10:18AM
Hello - my husband has a rather large (4 cm) mass on the right side of his neck, above the collar bone. We're awaiting the results of an FNA biopsy earlier this week. We're not sure what it is, but the biopsy removed a lot of straw-colored liquid and the mass nearly completely disappeared. The next morning, the mass had returned.

My questions: Do thyroid-related masses ever appear on the side of the neck in this location? And is it unusual for them to refill so quickly after biopsy?

Thank you for your help! We are very concerned.

this can be a large cyst which can or cannot be attached to thyroid. PEI outpatient injection treatment is used to shrink re-fillable systs.
Large cysts will require moer then one treatment.
