Low THS level

Low THS level

I have had 2 early miscarriages (one at 4.5 weeks the other at 6.2 weeks) in the past few months.  They tested my THS level and it was low.  I am scheduled for the endocanologist in a few week, but I wanted to know if this could be the cause of the miscarriages and if it is can it be treated.
Thanks!

Maybe others will have an answer.  I am not familiar but if you do a search and put in miscarriage hypothyroid you may get some old posts?

hi. I am sorry for your losses.  I too suffered two miscarriages.  I have been told that my hypothyroidism may have been a factor.  I also learned that when you have bloodwork done for your thyroid, the labs usually list ranges of what an optimal tsh is for each trimester.
Your endocrinologist should be able to answer your questions.

I had a successful pregnancy and my daughter is now 18 months old.

My best to you.

hi. am sorry for both of you. I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks, and am now feeling it could have been because of low thyroid. I got my TSH as 4.95 and yet to go to endocrinologist for further diagnosis.

But, am curios to know if you went through any medication to have a successful pregnancy.I want to start trying again for pregnancy only after the treatment, but I have an appointment only in another 3 weeks, and don't want to lose another month.

My apointment is in the first week in June.  My levels we like.00 something which my doctor found very alarming (I have no clue what is even normal).  I am hoping that this is the cause of the miscarriages.  My husband and I get pregnant very easily so I am trying not to get pregnant before the appointment.  I don't think I can go through losing a third.  It makes me feel better knowing that you had a healthy baby.  We you on meds?  I am hoping that they can fix this and I can go on to have a happy healthy baby.  I never pictured myself having fertility trouble when I got married.

hi.  no, for my third preganacy (pregnancy) I was not on meds, I was only officially diagnosed, 3 months after my baby was born.  I do have two friends that have had healthy babies when on meds though,  The key is to be monitored by a doctor throughout your pregnancy.  When you get your bloodwork done, ask to have a copy of the report sent to your home, most labs do this but you have to request it.  At the bottom of the report they may list what the optimal ranges are for each trimester of your pregnancy.  Talk with your doctor and explain what your concerns are and that you want to be monitored.
Many happy thoughts are being sent your way and look forward to hearing about your labor and delivery!!!!  Many have had babies on thyroid medication, keep your chin up, think positive thoughts......
