Low estrogen..

Here are my results just for reference..

Free triiodothyronine  4.5    RANGE 3.5-6.5
Senstitve TSH   1.37   RANGE 0.35-5.00
Free T4  16     RANGE 9-23

ANTI -PO   48 HI   RANGE <35
ANTI-TG    <20   RANGE <40

ANTINUCLEAR ANTIBODY   POSITIVE
TITRE      1:320  HI
ANA PATTERN   Speckled and homogeneous pattern

Cortisol    232

Taking 7.5mg of ERFA and 5mcg cytomel split in half twice a day.  I feel better cold temp wise because I am no longer using my heater as much and I actually go to bed with warm feet, problem is I still have the same hot flashes I had before but they are now hotter.   My tests show I have low estrogen (also taking birth control pill), decreased cortisol in the morning and increased at night and elevated DHEA.  I'm just baffled as to why I am sweating so much.  Should I get treated for the estrogen or should they level out once my thyroid is fixed?  I am taking natural supplements for my adrenals and might want to try HC but I have heard not so good stories about it.  Are there natural adrenal meds or how should I go abouts treating it?  I finally feel abit better but I don't want to move cause moving equals hot flashes/sweating.

I didn't start thyroid meds till about 3 months ago but I've had symptoms for years.  I am taking supplements called Adapt with ashwagandha, biotin, zinc and what not in it.   I have also been tested for rheumatoid arthritis and lupus and I do not have those and I do not have any other ones that I know of.

I'm by no means an expert on adrenal issues, but everything I've read says that adrenals should be repaired before taking thyroid med; however, I don't know how long you've been on thyroid med, so you may not have had an adrenal issue before that.

What supplements are you taking for your adrenals and are they on the advice of your doctor?

Since your TPOab is elevated, I'd say you have Hashi's, and with your positive ANA, I'd say there is probably something else going on - have you been tested for other autoimmune diseases?

i wanted to add...I have tried to get off my birth control before but had to go back on cause my face turned into a pizza and the acne was pretty bad.  After I got off I notice that my periods were very heavy and were not on schedule.  The pills took care of the heavy periods and my awful cramps.
