Can a low ferritin (14) but normal haemoglobin cause symptoms, thyroid or non thyroid related?

Low ferritin levels will cause Iron Anemia symptoms. Ferritin is your iron storage level. So your body isn't absorbing and storing it properly. Hemoglobin shows iron floating around in your system not what is being absorbed. You should be supplementing with a good food source iron supplement. Women should really be at mid range....normal ranges is 10-291.....it is rediculous for them to think we feel good at that lower normal range.
