Lump in neck

I have been taking topamax for migraines for about a year now and have just found a soft bump, about an inch in size, to the right of my thyroid.  Do you think that would be a thyroid condition?  I do have an anxiety problem as well and I am afraid to have it looked at.

I had migraines for over a year and didn't have much luck with the migraine medications. I went through cat scans, MRI,s you name it. Well come to find out I finally got diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease. MY doctor ran an antibodies test and it was really high my TSH was normal but I was developing a goiter in my neck. The reason I tell you this is you might be having the headaches due to your thryoid. Since I have been on medication for my thyroid my headaches are subsiding. It was like as soon as I started the medicine the headaches went away. You should't be scared to have the lump looked at. With the thyroid you can develop nodules most of the time they are not cancerous. If my some reason they were it is the most curable if caught early. My doctor said most of the time it is not cancereous especially if you have hashimoto's. Do you have any of the hypothyroid symptoms like, fatigue, consipation cold all time. These are some of the signs that it might be your thryoid. Go see and endo doctor and have it checked out it is worse not to have it looked at. Hope this helps.

There is no excuse to postpone a visit to the doctor; the thyroid swelling tends to move up during swallowing
