Lymph node involvement?

Hi Dr. Lupo,
Thank you for taking the time to answer my question(s). I recently had a total thyroidectomy, because of two indeterminate thyroid nodules(one is 2cm the other 4cm) . The pathology has come back as papillary thyroid cancer....3 small areas bilaterally the largest being 7mm. The surgeon noticed that my lymph nodes were enlarged, however no lymph nodes were removed.
I was wondering what your recommendation would be for radiation therapy?
Also, would you recommend further investigation of the lymph nodes whether it be a biopsy or should a neck dissection be performed? The swollen lymph node in my neck is what I orginally went to the doctors for....followed by a MRI which led to the discovery of the nodules. I am very frustrated that the lymph nodes were not removed for biopsy. I was curious as to what your opinion would be. Thank you again for your time.
