Lymph node swelling and hypothyroidism

by vannasmoma, Feb 12, 2009 07:27PM
I have a swollen lymph node with hypothyroid symptoms. My TSH is 3.74 and my TPO Ab was 3027. My Surgeon is going to remove the swollen lymph node soon. I also have several other swollen areas in my neck along with harness and facial twitching. I am wondering which symptoms are related to my thyroid issues and which to the lymph node issues. It is difficult to separate the two reading hypothyroid articles on the Internet. Could my thyroid enlarge my lymph nodes? cause the hoarseness and facial twitching? The lymph node has been swollen for nearly a year now which is why they have chosen to remove it...but my TPO Ab is quite high indicating thyroiditis, I assume. The Doctors are handling it as two separate issues completely unrelated but I was wondering if anyone else had some input?
