Med doses

by karenscar, Jun 05, 2008 04:40AM
This message is for anyone who takes a combination of Synthroid & Cytomel.  My current meds are 62.5 Synthroid and 5 mcg of Cytomel taken twice a day.  I am feeling a little hypo, so my labs were done.  See below:

TSH 4.01  (.35 - 5.5)
Free T3 2.7  (2.3-4.2)
Free T4  81  (.61-1.76)

I obviously need an increase in meds.  My question is:  Should my Cytomel be increased to a total of 12.5 mcg and leave the Synthroid where it is, or should my Cytomel stay the same and my Synthroid increased to 75 mcg.  Thanks for your help.
