Mulitnodular Goiter question

I was diagnosed with a multinodular goiter when I was 19 wks pregnant and couldnt have anything done because of the pregnancy. Now, 15 months later after deliver, I have moved to a new town and I need to find a doctor to have it checked out. It gas grown to feel like the size of a golfball.
MY QUESTION IS...
What kind of doctor should I see? Should I go straight to an endocrinologist or just family practice doctor.  I dont want to have to move from doctor to doctor.

If you know you have a multinodular goiter, you should see an ENT or endocrinologist...family doctor can help too...my OBGYN found mine...The endo doc monitered it for a few months and the ENT took the nasty thing out!  Thank goodness...I'm feeling so great now.

I have been diagnosed with multinodular goiter and have had many unnerving symptoms, like feeling of lump in throat, unable to look down due to swelling and sometimes causes panic, seems to be worse prior to menstrual cycle, can feel nodules by touch.  Been to endocrinologist who has done biospy and no cancer, all labs normal, but still very unnerving at times to feel swelling.  Is this genetic, because now my 10 year old daughter now has swelling to neck and complains of similar symptoms.  How can you treat?

I can see how you'd be unnerved!  What next step is the dr planning on doing?

I had to have my thryroid removed when it was in that state (labs were normal).  And I couldn't even feel the swelling as much as you do!

If the dr doesn't have a next step, even if it's 'we'll recheck in...time,' I would seek another opinion.

Yes, there are genetic and environmental components to thyroid disease.

I have a nodule and my labs are normal. Instead of taking the gland out I am  thinking of PEI treatment. I am hoping to go through this treatment in next spring.

If u have your blood work normal with non cancerous nodules then think about other alternative treatments rather than surgery.

I go in once a year for ultrasound to check size and that is about it. I have become very claustrophobic since it started and don't like things around my neck, can't even wear necklace.  The doctor doesn't want to do anything to it unless it grows in size.

Hum.  Well at least the dr is tracking things.  But with the symptoms your experiencing it actually does sound rather large.  Obviously, if they become too much you need to seek out more help.

I have a multinodular goiter it is about the size of a golfball, I came up when I was pregnant I have been seen by the doctor, But what I was wonder is I never felt it when I moved my neck before can taking birth control or about to start my cycle make that happen make it sore
