Hi - I have had a lot of problems with my thyroid lately and was just recently switched from Synthroid to ArmourArmour thyroid. For the past couple of weeks I have been having muscle twitching and what feels like muscle weaknessWeakness. My arms and legs feel tired and rubbery. I don't know what the conversionConversion disorder is from Synthroid to ArmourArmour thyroid but I am pretty sure that I am not on enough. Back in Dec before I started having some hyper symptoms and fluctuated into hyper I was on 100mg of Synthroid and now I am taking only 15mg of Armour. I will be going in for labs mid Aug. but I am just wondering if I am not on enough Armour could that be causing these muscle twitches ans weakness?
I don't really have an answer for you, but I did not have muscle twitching while on armour. When I switched over to synthroid, oh my, the twitching began. It was very strange because it only happened at night.
I do know that hypoT causes muscle weakness. Weight training is good for that. The problem is getting the energy to exercise!!
Oh my that is a small dosage to start at when you were at 100mcg of synthroid. I was on 75 mcg and was put on starting dosage of 60mg of armour. No wonder you are having muscle twinges. You should definately be increasing every 2 weeks so you don't suffer hypo symptoms.

Thanks for you response laura1967- yea I figure I am not on enough thyroid hormone. I have labs soon so hopefully it won't get too much worse by then. I am just worried that it could be something more serious like MS, ALS... But from what I've read muscle twitches and weakness are pretty common for people with hypothyroid. -Thanks
