Would it be possible for you to call his doctor and tell him what you have told us? That way the doctor may be prepared to explain these things to your son. Your son will probably listen to his doctor more patiently than he listens to you.
Trish
Hang in there, I am so sorry for what you are going though it to will pass. Hopfully he will understand you are tring to help him and he will listen to you!!!
Good luck!!!

yes I tried today to get him to understand how important it is to take his medicines at least four hours apart, and he is afraid he may forget them, I again explained the importants of taking them separate, I can't wait to see the doctor again , maybe her telling him will help . This will be his first blood work in a mth since the radioactive iodine treatment with the body scans .So I know this blood work is important on may 25 thanks for commenting
Want to add that I agree with above - if your son is not already doing so, separating taking the thyroid med from every other med is important. Just working on that one aspect might make changes for the better.
Take care.

Thanks I really don't know how to get him to listen to me though . He is 33 but I feel like I have a child to deal with very unreasonable . Tomorrow I will see if I can talk to him. Thanks I really needed to air this, It's been quite a long six or seven months they have been checking me also at the same time as his first surgery for cancer in pelvic area . I have had two cat scans and another coming up in august I say enough , I also had a biopsy three months ago, just to be told they most likely didnt go in the right spot ,,, hmmm and it really hurt for a week after ..... So yes we have a bit of stress. Thank YOu for commenting . Lynda
Yes, Trish is correct. You are suppose to wait several hours after taking your Synthroid. If not, the Synthroid is not absorbing into the body as needed. It needs to be taken on an empty stomach and waiting to take other meds and supplements should wait a certain amount of time.
If he is taking all together, his body is probably not getting the right amount of dosage that is needed.... this website will tell you everything you need to know..

You are both under a lot of stress right now. I don't now about blood pressure medication, but synthroid is supposed to be taken alone, for the best benefit. He should discuss this with his doctor.Take care.
