My thyroid is suddenly enlarged

I was diagnosed in March of 2007 with hyperthyroidism.
I am being treated with pills but am still not stable.
Now my neck is swollen where my thyroid is.

I am also on blood thinners.(Coumadin)
What is happening?

Thank you

What were your symptoms before you were diagnosed? 3 weeks ago, there was nothing wrong with me and NOW I may have a thyroid problem - The doctor reckons THYROIDITIS. I'm having biopsy next Tuesday for a nodule. What did you have done? I'm having difficulty swallowing, etc. it began like a SORE THROAT and then has faded into difficulty swallowing (food going down). Please enlighten me with some info. Cheers

Sometimes the thyroid will swell but will go back to down once levels are normal.  However, the only way to tell for sure what is going on is by telling your doctor and by other test such as thyroid scan, etc.
