My wife's graves symptoms are back

Hi everyone. My wife was diagnosed with graves about 6 years ago. It was really hard on our marriage as her personality completely changed and she distanced her self so much. Once she had the radiation treatment and got put on her medication it was like magic. I had my amazing wife back again. Here we are 6 years later and all the symptoms are back, it's been going on for about 3 months now. It's very very hard, she doesn't want to be around me or the kids, she is very depressed and has anxiety and just a completely different personality. Up until this week, we have only had the crummy government insurance and we can't get her into an endocrinologist to get all her tests. Finally I will be able to make an appointment next week to go directly to a specialist. I pray that they can help. I'm doing my best to hang in there and be as patient as I can but it can be so hard. I hope some of you can relate.

We can relate, but we could be more helpful if you could post her lab test results, with their corresponding reference ranges.  It definitely sounds like she needs an adjustment in her medication, but she could need more or less.

We're here to help support you and your wife.

Thanks barb. With our insurance they would only test her tsh levels. I just got new insurance and I will be able to get her straight into an endocrinologist to get all the tests.
