Natural desiccated thyroid
Hi there,
I have been struggling with Hashimoto's for the past 5 years. I'm with a good homeopath since no doctor that I saw had a clue or wanted to listen what I instinctively knew was wrong with me. My symptoms are coming and going. The past 2 months has been hectic and I'm really struggling at the moment. I've heard of Armour and Naturethroid in the US and that patients have very positive results with it. Do you maybe know if it is available in South Africa or is there maybe alternative Natural desiccated thyroid products available in South Africa that you know of? Thank you for the help :)

You are definitely not alone with that problem. We have heard that many times here. I expect that the problem is inadequate replacement med to get your Free T4 and Free T3 levels high enough to relieve symptoms. Or it could be that you are taking T4 med and your body is not adequately converting the T4 to T3. Please post your test results and reference ranges shown on the lab report and we will be better able to assess your problem. Also please tell us your replacement thyroid med and daily dosage.

But I would like to know if I'm going mad or if maybe my Doctors are not picking anything up.
I had a Partial Thyroidectomy done about two months ago, Since then I've had 3 lots of blood tests done because I keep complaining of feeling exhausted not sleeping, hair loss and a few other things, only to keep having all my doctors tell me there is nothing wrong with me, I know my body and I know when something doesn't feel right. I used to be so motivated and always gyming and riding and now I have no energy to do anything and I feel sad almost depressed, which is also not who I am. Has anyone else gone through this?
