Nature-throid vs Armour Thyroid?

I am currently on 3 grains of Armour thyroid.  I take 2 in the am and then 1 grain in late am by 2pm.  The price of Armour has DOUBLED!  I was paying a co-pay of 21 dollars for 90 days of 2 grains and now it is $44.00!!!!!!!

My question is for those of you that are using Nature-throid.  Does the dosage need to be higher?  Do you like the Nature-throid better?

Of course my numbers are going in a positive direction, so I might be backing down.  I think I read somewhere that the real difference between the 2 are the fillers.

Please let me know you thoughts.

Thanks

Thom

I have in Naturethroid since I started my treatment years back. When there was a shortage of both NT and Armour I freaked out. Suddenly Armour started to be more available than NT and my doctor put me on Armour at the same dose I had been in NT.

Armour had been reformulated and for me personally the change was not favorable, I felt worse on Armour than in NT, probably I felt I needed a higher dose, but I did not continue experimenting because NT started to be available again and I did not think it twice.

I hope it helps, Armour and NT are supposed to be the same strength, but sometimes your body might react differently because, as you said, of the fillers.

One other note I want to stay with NDT!  I am not crazy about the synthetic options!
