Need to Ramble and ask a Question

I have been on Synthroid for Hypothyroidism for awhile. I have been reading all these posts since my doctor found a nodule on my right lobe a month ago. I did get names of doctors from a wonderful woman on here. I won't go into the mumbo-jumbo of my US. I also had an FNA and when my doctor called to give me the results she said the report said it is an adenoma but that the report wasn't clear enough for her. So she made an appointment for me with an Endo, who will speak to the pathologist, to get to the bottom of the report. I have been waiting for two weeks for this appointment and finally I am going this Monday. I  just can't understand how two doctors can't come to any conclusions on the FNA report. I wanted to send the slides to John Hopkins but my husband said I was jumping the gun and to wait to see the Endo. I don't know if I made the right choice. It is so hard to make decisions. I am so nervous and stressed over this.

In hindsight, looking over the past 2 years of my life - my period stopped in 06 for 11 months, started up again for 3 months and stopped again. I was getting, mostly at night, a red rash over parts of my body that would feel burny and itchy. This symptom has gone away. Than I started losing my hair. This symptom has slowed down. I am getting night sweats (which from what I've read is a symptom of cancer). Yikes!!!!  To all these symptoms my doctor says they are because I am peri-menopausal.  But maybe it's been my thyroid causing all these symptoms all along.

Well that's enough rambling for now. Can everyone help me make a list of all the questions I need to ask the Endo. I do not play the waiting game very well and I thank everyone for listening.

I agree with your husband - wait and see what the endo has to say.

My experience is that you answer more questions than ask questions.  I'm not sure if that's good or bad but I did find out a lot at that first appt, hope you do too.

Good luck.
