Neuroendocrinology, ever see one?

I thought this title was new, but it goes back to the early days. Someone mentioned to me how a Neuroendocrinology, really helped someone they know, vs the standard endos we've all seen  (mostly thumbs down) .

After reading what little info there is, I really dont see much of a difference. I think this person just luckily found a Dr that thinks outside the "TSH / Synthyroid only" endo thought box.

Any thoughts /experiences?

"Neuroendocrinology" as one word cannot even be searched on Med Help.

i saw one of these guys.   Total M0ron.   My doc wanted to explore "encopolopitis"  or whatever that weird hashimotos was.  sent me to this guy.  Guy laughed at me when i told him all my symptoms and told me i needed to be on antidepressants.   A week later my tsh shot up to 24 and my throat pain started.

"Neuroendocrinologist" does get some hits on Medhelp, but not so much from a thyroid standpoint.
