Hello everyone.
Here's my lab history:

Well, here's the sad latest news:
3/2 My thyroid labwork -- FINALLY went OVER the mark!!
4/22 Got results back and two antibodies and thyroid were normal. (I don't know if I might have borderline or whatever as I don't have my records in the mail yet, but they are on the way.) Blood counts and certain nutrients (such as B12) were fine, too. Except my vitamin D was slightly low, out-of-range. CAN THIS CAUSE FATIGUE, SLEEPINESS OR LETHARGY?
Since I was once out-of-range, my doctor wants to keep an eye on thyroid and retest in 4 months. Hoping for out-of-range results next time for diagnosis and medicine!
I'm a little disappointed and frustrated. My doctor suggested CFS, as have other doctors in years past. She said there is no test for it and that the only help is light excercise such as yoga. I want to keep on looking because I want something treatable. Not knowing drives me crazy. An Australian on this board said there is a CFS test in Australia though.
Since I can't seem to get anywhere with western medicine MD's, I'm considering going to an alternative doctor (not instead but in addition) because I don't think my thyroid is optimal and I know some of them tend to use smaller ranges for optimal, plus deficiencies and adrenal could be causing the fatigue. I even asked my doctor about a test mentioned on this board, a "micronutrient" test, and my doctor said she doesn't do that. It sounds good to me, I want these things looked at. My doctor did say that my diet is really good based on my extremely good low cholesterol levels. I think I might be a candidate for a trial of thyroid medicine because I do have a history of borderline TSH and some low FT4 plus symptomatic and I once went out-of-range. I know they often don't take insurance, but how much are we talking? Can they do blood work?
How do I find a good alternative doctor and one that might give me thyroid medicine? What do I need to know about alternative medicine?
Any thoughts/comments welcome. I'd love to hear what you have to say.
God bless you.
