New synthroid user

Today is my first post RAI day for my synthroid. A couple of questions:

1. What is a normal starting dose ? Iam on 200mcg of brand only synthroid ?

2. Best time to take it ?

you're starting out on 200? That seems awfully high for just starting...I take mine with my coffee (my dr said fine to do if it's black) first thing every morning before breakfast, i try to wait at least a half hour before eating.

Take this medication at the same time each day whenever possible. Thyroid hormone is usually taken in the morning to prevent insomnia at night. Need to take on empty stomach.
Take each dose with a full glass (8 ounces) of water. Allow atleast 1/2 hour before taking and other Meds or Vitamins,and food.
Starting Dose is different per situation.
