For almost a year now I've been experiencing "hypo" symptoms. After months my antibodies were tested and all in the normalNormal saline flush range. My TSHPituitary and tsh Tsh is a normalNormal saline flush 1.19 and free T3 and free T4T4 test are also within range. I have been losing my hair, gaining weight despite a low calorie diet with exercise and been feeling pretty much miserable with fatigue, muscle and joint pain and more. I also have a goiterChronic thyroiditis (hashimoto’s disease) Goiter Graves disease Toxic nodular goiter which was felt on palpitation recently but not on a sonogram a few months back. It is something that I definitely feel and it makes me miserable and scared. My doctor has reluctantly agreed to put me on low dose armour of 15mg requesting a blood test in a few weeks time. His first suggestion was actually cytomel. Has anyone had any experience with either of these medicines and if so, what was your experience with both? I heard some many good things about armour that I wanted to try that, but I wonder if cytomel might have been a better choice for me. I never did get his reasons for cytomel as I was in the office forever and he had many people waiting and I needed to get kids.
Also, what is a reasonable dose for my symptoms? I weight 110 pounds.
Not of much help here to you, but wanted to post so that you knew someone was reading and maybe it will move your post up to the top again. If that doesn't work maybe we'll try something else. Don't give up yet, posting in the middle of the week it some times takes a few days for people to read all the posts and give answers.
I have no experience with medications yet. Just wanted to comment that I've been living in 'hypo he!!" for 5+ years - with labs always coming out in normal range. Many people with this same problem are unable to get meds due to normal lab work! You are lucky that your dr. will help out! So many of them will not treat symptoms - only numbers on paper!

I hope the medication helps!
