Normal Thyroid Size

I recently has an ENT tell me that my thyroid felt a little "lumpy" however, she did say she could feel no distinct nodules or masses. She recommended I go see my PCP for further evaluation. She ordered thyroid function/levels which all come back within normal limits. She also ordered a thyroid ultrasound which showed a mildly heterogeneous thyroid gland without focal nodule. The measurements were: RT 4.7 x 1.7 x 1.2 cm and LT: 4.9 x 1.7 x 1.3 cm. From what I have read all limits are in normal range besides the 4.9 on the LT, which appears to just be very slightly large. Would this be something to worry about?? She said that the slightly heterogeneous meant nothing really other than I have a bumpy thyroid. Does this sound right??

The displacement[volume] of the left lobe is about 5 cu cm, which is well within the limits.
range is 3.5 to 9.0 for females [which yields 7 to18 cu cm for the whole gland].
The  mildly heterogeneous structure in plain means it is more 'grainy'. it can be a sign of the past inflammation or just the normal variation of cells arangement.
